planning

Why do people always make their 21st bday a big hooha? why 21st i always wonder, why not 20th or 22nd? cus its the beginning of the 20s?

before i get my answer, i've alr embarked on planning my very own 21st party.
the first kinda-big-scale event i've ever planned. thanks to A who've been helping me all the way, else i'd still be in a frantic state coming up with everything myself. from the venue to the budget, the food, the deco, the games (all which are still in the midst of planning), haha the only thing i did it myself was the Guestlist(hey it wasn't easy too ok)!

im not the kind who'll ask for money from parents, so it took me more than abit of courage to go up and ask for such a huge sum. and from what i rmb, i dont think my 2 elder bros have ever had a 21st party, which makes it even harder for me to ask since its like not done before i dunno why. or perhaps they did do it but small-scale gathering with their friends? don't want them to think like i'm some spoilt-brat princess.

okay and so i did it anyway, i went up to them and asked for a considerable amt. well... it's justified for the amount of ppl i want to invite for such an event, i suppose so. if it was a book-a-chalet-order-catering style, then i could have more ppl over, but since its not, sadly there are only so many i can invite, which mostly are the really close ones.

venue is kinda decided but we're facing difficulty here, since one place (which i totally think it'll be awesome) told us they can only confirm if they're up for booking after Jan 1st, which is like only a few days away from the celebration. there's still a backup venue which might not be as ideal, but i tot it'll be the 2nd best option (based on value and the area given) we could get from the area.

Just created the Guestlist ytd on fb and am waiting for ppl to RSVP by this week so i can agar the number of ppl who'll be coming, to agar the budget and logistics.

i'm kinda excited yet scared, don't know how the party will turn out but i'm surely hoping for the better! :)
